The Wives of the Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) is the translated English transaction of ايام النبى مع أزواجه by Nour M. Jaffala. This book is published by IIPH which has a large and lively household that was ‘ruled’ by his good nature and common sense. His marital life was an example of activity, vitality, and sympathy. He had a pure nature that filled his household with warmth and affection, and he never showed apathy, coldness, or disrespect to any of his wives. Despite his great status, the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) never made barriers between himself and his wives. His humbleness and modesty often made them forget themselves with him, as many of the anecdotes in this lovely little book show. The Days of Prophet Muhammad with His Wives has been translated into English here by Nour M. Jaffala.
The author has compiled the statements of several scholars on this topic and added to this her own impassioned arguments, with which she dispels criticism by orientalists of the Prophet’s practice of polygyny. From a historical perspective, his life, along with those of his wives, authenticates his mission. His practice of polygyny, when investigated, reveals a deep wisdom behind his marriages that supported his efforts of teaching and spreading Islam.
This edition is new and completely revised. It has been reorganized to make it easy to read while drawing out the most inspiring aspects of the lives of the honourable wives of the Prophet Muhammad.
